Description
Thor is one of the ‘old’ gods in that he historically predates Odin and the other warrior gods. Originally responsible for agricultural fertility, thunder, lightning, storms, oak trees, strength, healing, and protection of mankind. He was a bit rough and earthy but was elevated to major god status by the Viking Age. His Hammer Mjölnir would return to his hand whenever he called it and was the bane of many a giant.
