Copy of the Midgaard Serpant Brooch currently in the Norwegian National Museum in Oslo. This brooch represents the Midgaard Serpant that is wrapped around the roots of the World Tree, Yggdrasil. As it gnaws away the roots of the tree it counts down the days until Ragnorak, the end of time. So why are there two serpants you ask? I suspect there are two serpents to artistically balance the design, or something
