Thor’s Hammer design with a wolf head forming the suspension loop. This appears to be a modern design but that doesn’t mean documentation doesn’t exist, just that I haven’t found it yet. There were thousands of one-of-a-kind Thor’s Hammers made during the Viking Age an only a few were buried in archaeologically convenient locations.
A Thor’s Hammer came to represent the old ways of honor, devotion, loyalty and resistance to changes overtaking the Viking way of life in the latter part of the Viking Age.
