Description
This Urnes brooch is a reproduction of an image on the bottom of a silver dish found in Gotland Sweden. This simple streamlined design is characteristic of the Eastern Baltic. Urnes style items were found from Gotland to Ireland where the designs were rigidly controlled by the Christian illuminators.
